What We Believe
We believe there is only one, true God – three persons in one Supreme Being, the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe our God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, One Who has always existed and the One from Whom everything derives its creation and meaning.
We believe that Jesus is the one, true Son of God, the Savior of the world and the long awaited Messiah. Fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, Jesus put on flesh to identify with us in our humanity and to atone for the sins of the entire world, generations past, present and to come. His perfect sacrifice on the cross made a way for humanity to be reconciled back to the Father. Jesus’ blood paid for our sins and His broken body paid for our wholeness – body, soul and spirit. His sacrifice was complete, more than enough and entirely sufficient. Jesus’ victorious resurrection from the grave defeated death and undermined every tactic of the enemy for all of eternity. Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, interceding for His people and guiding us by His Spirit.
We believe Jesus’ life as a man, empowered by the Holy Spirit, serves as an example for us to follow. His teachings are true and are still relevant and needed today.
We believe the Bible is the true, inspired, infallible Word of God, our authority for life and ministry.
We believe that humanity was created by God and for God, made in His image and in His likeness – to enjoy His Presence, receive His eternal love, love Him in return and extend the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Because of humanity’s fall, sin entered the world and separated us from the perfection of the Father. Jesus’ shed blood and victorious resurrection over death provided the atonement needed for humanity to make their way back to God. It is by grace alone that we are saved. Through faith in Jesus, the Son of God, and repentance of sin, we are restored to our original design: union with God. We believe that water baptism is an important and joyful part of salvation, an expression of our faith and a prophetic act of dying with Christ and being raised with Him in His resurrection.
We believe in the existence of Heaven and Hell, two real destinations for humanity. We believe that the Father longs for none to perish, and that Jesus died so that all would have the freedom to choose eternal life. Those who believe in, trust and follow Jesus as their Savior will spend eternity in Heaven, unified with the Glorious Presence of God. Those who reject the free gift of grace extended to them by Jesus the Savior, choose to spend eternity in Hell, separated from God.
We believe the Presence of the Holy Spirit draws us into repentance and enables people to receive the glorious gift of Jesus. We believe the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit is made available to all believers at salvation, our Seal for eternal life in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit reveals the heart of the Father, convicts us of sin, guides us into all Truth, sanctifies us to be like Jesus and supernaturally empowers us to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. The baptism of the Holy Spirit enables and empowers believers to be the witnesses of God on earth, through word and action.
We believe that the Church, the body of believers, is the glorious Bride of Jesus Christ and He will return for her one day soon. As believers it is our calling to minister to the Presence of God, to equip the Bride of Christ to be like Him, and to show the world who He is and what He is like. As the Body of Christ we are ambassadors to the world – to represent Jesus and His Kingdom, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness, to disciple nations and to baptize in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, undoing the works of the devil and displacing the powers of darkness. We are called to the ministry of reconciliation, teaching the Good News of Jesus, inviting others into His perfect love and showing the world His goodness.
We believe the Presence of God is our highest pursuit and our most tender affection. Following His Spirit is our greatest joy and deepest desire.
We believe in the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit, both needed for the Kingdom of Heaven to be established on earth. We agree with the Bible that Christ in us is the hope of Glory for the entire world. It is both our privilege and our deepest purpose to express the goodness of God and stay connected to His manifest Presence, for the world to see the reality of His Kingdom in our daily lives.
We believe Jesus, the victorious King, will return again soon for His Bride, the Church. We ready our hearts for His coming and long for His appearing. Come, Lord Jesus.
